Reveals a fresh new look this springSeptember 2 - 5, 2004: Innovative gardens, dynamic design, fine food and popular personalities are among the great features of ABC Gardening Australia LIVE NSW, which will spring into action at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park.
Key attractions to be found at Sydney’s most popular garden show include the new Eat Design Area; an expanded outdoor retail area; and works from Sydney’s emerging landscape and floral designers.
ABC gardening expert Peter Cundall says:

Food meets flora in the Eat Design Area, where a Cuisine Garden will capture the imagination and cooking demonstrations will spice up your culinary repertoire. The principles of design will also be explored onstage whilst the tempting aromas of barbecue fare prepared by chefs will provide further inspiration. The design talks will provide you with practical, expert advice for gardens and outdoor spaces of any size.
Follow your nose to the Floral Design Pavilion – a heady experience with exhibits from Sydney’s leading floral designers. Amongst the array of blooming presentations you can view student and florist competition entries, or even gather inspiration for your special day thanks to bridal bouquet displays.
Emerging designers will reveal their fresh new ideas and approaches to garden and landscape design, and a Student Design Competition will bring out the best from Sydney’s budding young designers with TAFE students competing for the honour of having their winning design displayed at the show.
ABC personalities will be interacting with visitors throughout the event. Peter Cundall will be meeting with enthusiasts and sharing his expertise in the ABC Show garden - Pete’s Vegie Patch; and presenters from Gardening Australia will be appearing over the course of the show to discuss a diverse and entertaining range of topics and answer questions from visitors.
Armed with ideas, visitors should stop off at The Plant Pavilion where leading nurseries will help you put plans into practice. An amazing array of plant varieties will be available for purchase, or simply absorb their spectacular displays. You can even leave your purchases in the safe hands of the Plant and Product Pick-up - a free service - whilst you continue to browse.
