Safer Way to Learn to Drive

The time has come ... they’ve taken their first steps, had their first day at school and now it’s time for your child to get behind the wheel for the first time.

Learning to drive can be a nerve-racking experience for both learner drivers and their parents. Busy roads, multiple lanes and impatient motorists can dent the confidence of any first-time driver. The good news is, learner drivers can now learn the basics in a driver simulator before they even get out on the open road.

The simulators help to build confidence in a safe environment, which puts learner drivers at ease, as well as their parents, who might also pick up a few tips to help learner drivers work through the Graduated Licensing Scheme (GLS).

NRMA’s driving simulators are in the new NRMA Safer Driving Education Centre at our North Strathfield offices. The centre also provides onroad driving lessons for learner drivers with experienced driving instructors, as well as a one-day post-licence Safer Driving Course. For more information on any of these call 1300 696 762.
