We’re all about the great outdoors in our travel features this issue. No sitting at home huddled in front of the heater or fireplace. There’s plenty to do outside to get your temperature up, so we’re encouraging you to get out and about. You can swoosh down the slopes at any of the winter ski resorts in NSW and Victoria. Whether you have a thirst for après ski, or like adrenaline-packed black runs, mooching around in your ski kit for a play in the snow or taking the kids out for their first ever ski, there’s an Aussie resort to fit you.

Or, if you prefer water to ice, we’ve got a few ideas for you. Waterfall Way is a drive through some of NSW’s most scenic towns and parks, from Armidale to Coffs Harbour, and along the way it takes in some amazing waterfalls, plus great bushwalks. Whether you like to walk behind them, under them or around them, they’re definitely worth a look. And if all that activity has tired you out, then we suggest you spend some time floating above the water in the glorious, sun-soaked Whitsundays.
