CEO catch-up

CEO Tony StuartThank you to all the Members who turned out to our Annual General Meeting in Newcastle this month.

2006-07 was a huge success for NRMA Motoring & Services and we invite you to join us to celebrate our trajectory into a strong and sustainable future.

We were very pleased to report a substantial net profit after tax of more than $58 million and a robust balance sheet with net assets rising to $751 million – a 60% rise over the last four years.

We are in a solid financial position and we’re delivering greater benefits and more savings to you.

We’ve spent the last few months really ensuring that motoring and petrol issues are addressed in the federal strategy.

We have also continued to grow our businesses including our third MotorServe at Tuggeranong.

We have acquired Classic Car magazine as we build our publications portfolio and build on the success of our Australian Caravan + RV magazine.

Through Adventure World Travel, we have acquired Coral Seas Travel – a leading provider of holidays to the South Pacific.

Through Thrifty Australia, we’ve now acquired Thrifty New Zealand and a series of discounts will soon be on offer for Members travelling to the land of the long white cloud.

We’ve had a great response to our new advertising campaign which is highlighting how we can help you in more ways than ever before through savings and promotions across the NRMA family of companies, including Thrifty and our holiday parks.

This time of year is a great time to take advantage of our Thrifty deals as part of a fly-drive holiday, and a wonderful opportunity to visit our holiday parks which are just fantastic for families and kids.

Darlington, Umina and Merimbula are all beachfront and Darlington even has its own surf school.

Enjoy the Christmas period and thanks for your support during a very successful year for us all.
